Location : TBD
Authoring Solutions for Augmented Reality
Description:
Workshop website with schedule and information

The motivation of this workshop is to discuss future directions of content authoring in the field of Augmented Reality, as well as a discussion about the current state of art in content creation and content authoring targeting AR. The workshop will comprise of a paper session where authoring papers, late-breaking results and state-of-the-art approaches are presented. In the afternoon, we will follow up with a round-up discussion sessions on different topics ranging from content creation and authoring to content distribution for AR and a short closing session.

We want to collect ideas and thoughts of researchers about desired approaches for authoring content for AR, as well as debate about current and future needs to guarantee a high quality as well as quantity of content for AR. A common theme will be to extract general concepts and relevant traits that are specific to the domain of AR.

Classifying the AR Presentation Space
Description:
Workshop website with schedule and information

The workshop aims at generating a survey of dimensions w.r.t. presentation principles used in the vast design space of AR. Such a classification in future not only facilitates human factors experiments on fundamental effects induced by AR, but also bears the potential for researchers to develop new combinations of these principles to yield new presentation concepts. In the end, such a classification will be a fundamental element in the work towards concepts on wide spread exchangeable displays: display size does have an inuence on how information is/can be presented. By having such a categorization surveying how information is presented, concepts for displaying information can facilitate that knowledge to gain from earlier experience.

Tracking Methods and Applications
Description:
Workshop website with schedule and information

The focus of this workshop is on presenting, discussing and demonstrating recent tracking methods and their applications that work well in practice and that show some superiority over state-of-the-art methods. Unlike the tracking session(s) of the main conference, the workshop does not require pure novelty of the proposed tracking methods and their applications; it rather encourages presentations that concentrate on complete systems and integrated approaches. Giving the opportunity to well-engineered new tracking approaches missing a pure theoretical and/or well defined and localized novelty to be presented clearly differentiates our workshop from the tracking session(s) of the main conference.
